Roads and bridges
Roads have always served people and led them to others. They stirred our imagination, were
a starting point for many journeys, inventions and love affairs. It is said that “All roads lead to Rome,” so they lead to God himself. Spiritual roads are built by the Church while the roads for cars are built by companies like ours. This is what we do – we build roads for people.
Centuries have passed since people trod paths and routes made with their own feet. Today roads are pictured as wide concrete highways, wonderful bridges spanning over precipices and tunnels going underneath mountains or even seas. Road building has a long history, written on different continents and by various civilizations: from Incan through Roman, from Chinese through European.
We build roads both on plains and in the mountains. We cut tunnels through rocks and we construct bridges. There are no difficult tasks for us. When we do our job, we do it well, on time and with a warranty. It is because we build roads for people.
The POLDIM company carries on a fifty-year-old operation of Polish road and bridge building enterprises located in the Tarnow region. The company in its present shape was created on February 18, 2006 at an Extraordinary Board of Stockholders Meeting, when the name of the Polish Roads and Bridges, Joint-Stock Company (Polskie Drogi
i Mosty Spółka Akcyjna) located in Tarnów was changed to POLDIM, Joint-Stock Company (POLDIM Spółka Akcyjna). Although POLDIM operates all over Poland, it is above all the heir to the tradition of road building in the regions of Galicia and Lesser Poland. Here, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, it can most often be seen.
